Chesapeake Shrine Club (CSC) was established in 1965 as a means for Shriners close to the Chesapeake area to meet.  With the modernization of times, the club has evolved to include Shriners of all localities and we are well known for being the "Largest Club" within Khedive Temple.  CSC is famous for our annual Oyster Roast and as of 2022, we have done this for 43 years.  The Oyster Roast is a fun time where you can indulge in ALL you-can-eat food, ALL you-can-drink beverages, a live band, and many other festivities.  Did I mention, ALL you can eat?

If you are a Noble in good standing at Khedive Shrine or any recognized Shriners International Temple and are wanting to become a member of the CSC, click on the button below to download a petition and come out to one of our meetings.  We meet on the 3rd Monday of every month except September when we go dark.  I hope to see you there.

About Us

Freemasonry and Shriners

Taking the First Step

The first prerequisite of being a Shriner is being a member of the oldest fraternity in the world, that of the Freemasons.  If you are not currently a Freemason, reach out to any member at Khedive Temple and he will gladly assist you with the process.  You can also click on the emblem below and you will be directed to the Grand Lodge of Virginia's inquiry page where they will have someone from a lodge close to your residence contact you.  Our family is always expanding and we hope to see you at any Masonic function.

The Path to Becoming a Noble

In 1870, a group of 13 Masons would regularly meet at the Knickerbocker Cottage in New York City. Often, discussion turned into forming a new fraternity for Masons, based on the tenets of Freemasonry but with the added elements of fun and fellowship.  It wouldn't be until 1922 where the first Shriners Hospitals for Children was established.  Today we continue to embody the fun and fellowship in which Shriners was established for with an additional purpose of serving the children in need.  If you are a Master Mason in good standing of a lodge recognized by the Conference of Grand Masters of North America and are wishing to join an appendant body of Masonry, where fun is in our blood, than click on the emblem below and you will be directed to the Khedive Shrine Center's Membership Team.  Or better yet, stop on by at any of our events (and there's plenty) and talk to one of us.  I hope to see you wearing a Fez soon!
